a delivery for me!

An afternoon of ideas, projects and all this inspiring and the postman arrives 5 mins before knock off time! now I would have posted a photo of everything in their lovely wrappers but I was totally waiting for this parcel, so I got a tad over excited and ripped it open with love. inside were these treasures. A knitter's inspired one of a kind all mine artwork...complete with vintage knitting needles! its filled with hidden meanings that as days go by maybe I will unravel, but for now, its on the wall in my craftroom.

The card was adorable and man did I smile from ear to ear when I saw the image..took me a moment to focus on what they are doing...WINDING WOOL! its oh so lovely she is placed on my desk next to my beautiful card from mandy. Hooray Knitting cards for all! (well really only me)
within the layers of paper and lovelieness were two smaller gifts each equally lovely, a notebook that is perfect fo my handbag, I have two bigger versions of these delightful notebooks, one which I am currently using as my inspiration and ideas book. This little notebook is currently nestled in my olive green knitters bag. The little box of coloured pencils made me smile for reasons I wont share.
a book I have lusted after for SOOOOO long now, is this stunning book by Amanda Keeys
I've gone to buy this little adorable book for ages now and kept getting told off by soph to just leave it for now lol...and now i have a copy of my very own!!
all so beautiful in so many ways, Im very very thankful for such a lovely gift. Thankyou Miss Sophie.

a twin set to dye for.

My little shindig last night was a cute gathering, we did dinner and desert. A lovely array of marinated chicken wings, greek salads, garlic and parsley pasta and Turkish Apple Ice Tea! I ended the evening with a home-made pav! I would have taken photos of everything but we were so into the whole night that everything was eaten before I could even pull my lense cap off! The table was decorated with fresh roses from my garden, in little white teacups. The teacups were all over the house, each holding a different coloured rose.
Although my birthday is next friday, my close friends wanted to get in early! I was so surprised with my thoughtful gifts,  they made my night! I was gifted with 12 months subscription to Yarn Magazine, which is fast becoming my ultimate yarny mag from Oz! This was brilliant! Yarny reading every issue and I dont even need to walk to the newsagent! But the next present is my favourite present in a very long long time....
A stunning vintage teacup, in a soft pink colour with beautiful copper and grey roses! to top it all off, the plates are an offshaped square! It was such a pleasure to unwrap the tissue paper to reveal such a beautiful object! The teacup were put away by an lady for her glory box, over 60 years ago! but thats not all, such a stunning cup would have a twin!
That's right! I was gifted with not one but two of these stunningly beautiful teacup sets! I squeeled like a little girl when I got to the bottom of the box to reveal another set! They have become my pride and joy without a doubt!

I cant stop looking at them! they are now placed in my craft room where I can stare at them anytime I like! and I think mandy and I might have to christen them when we move to brissy! they beg to be used in a high tea setting! Scones, jam, cream and a delishious blend of tea, utterly spectacular!

And for a little bit of fun...todays colour is....

comes out from behind the rock*

I have done alot of staring at the bedroom ceiling lately, trying to get myself going, with a cold that my delightful babies have given me, my get up and go reflexes are on slow motion.
Here I am though, finally taking enough photos for a blog post, trying to learn the ins and outs of this camera before I throw it out in frustration, I know what I want it to do, but it just doesnt! Its been a long few days, with looking after three small children under the age of 3, two of them under 1! My sisters little girl had a hard time coping with staying away from home for 4 days, new house, new bed, and no mummy, makes little Sophia rather unhappy. As a thankyou for taking care of her little one, she gave me this beautiful mug...touched my heart that she thought of me, as much as she teases me for being an old lady, I know she loves it deep down.
What better present to buy a knitter, who loves tea, then a mug for knitters hehe.
Also this week, we house sat and fed a friends dogs, while they were away for a few days, as a thankyou they gave us some adorble green material place mats, and these colour and ever so yummy hand candys! mmmm gooddness
On the creative front, I've placed my order for some dyes, after searching frantically, as my one and only wholesaler lost everything in the bushfires. The colourcards came in the mail the otherday so I sat down and planned three months worth of pretty for the club, and then daydreamed a few blends up for the cashmere sock yarn thats hitting my door step in a week! Most exciting.

thats all from me my loves My next post will be a new feature Im adding to my blog, Once a week I'll be featuring Knitters/crocheters/wool blogs, I spend so much time, living in other peoples stunning blogs, that its high time I feature them in here for others to adore.
