Holy Tolito Batman!! its Cold here!!! my fingers are literally hurting typing this little blog post, but alas I shall do it! for art is my heart! and I refuse to fail the month of art challenge. So Tonight before I went to a family bbq I got out my stencils to try and do something in my little journal that wasn't my usual style. To try and push myself a little to be different. So I used some orange and brown spray inks and got to work, its still a work in progress, but with a few more layers I think it could be cool!
not loving that stupidly placed blue flower though lol, so I might do a bit of cover up magic with some layer work tomorrow. I shall let the work take me where ever it wants to go! While I sit and sniffle through the inking and the arting. I think I'm coming down with a cold...*dramatic flop* fingers crossed I'm not, because nothing sucks more than arting while you are ill!
This week will be all hands on deck getting the teacup humans and I packed for our little trip to sydney! well not little two weeks, but still big job for mamma with all the washing folding packing list making. But it will all be worth it, I've warned the boy the art supplies are coming with me, and he was more than happy with that...'cant stop the art month!'
well its almost 9pm and I think my electric blanket and a biscuit are calling me while I wait for the boy to arrive home safe and sound from his 7 hour trip from my place to his.
I'll see you guys tomorrow with maybe some more work on this spread..or something else! who knows...
pop on over to Traci's blog to see her delightful watercolour page and to see the other lovely ladies work too.

I love the pages you did especially the spiral that just sits there. I will trade you this 94 degree F weather for some of your "cold" weather. How is that Junk J coming along?
ReplyDeleteLove this orange "play" page! It's good to go outside your comfort zone & just play! Excited to see what will come of it. Have a lovely holiday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and interesting start to a page! I need to get my sprays out for stenciling.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course your art supplies must go on your trip. It's a necessity! Stay warm!
Hello Courtney!I am participating in Tracy's challenge too. How do you do?
ReplyDeleteI really like your post, that flor de lis knocks me out, I love those! PS the way your photograph your work is terrific!

This is coming along nicely. You certainly can't tell you are working outside your comfort zone! Stencil are tough for me - I over do the spraying every time, lol! I'm glad you are taking your art supplies with you - you never know when inspiration will hit.
