Its Cold and Wet!

Its one of those days, rather cold and wet, grey, where coats, boots and scarves come out to play their role in keeping us warm! I waited for the bus in the rain, and golly gosh it was cold! I havent posted for a few days, got a bit stuck in a rut, but slowly slowly you pull urself out, with the plans to open up a little online store bustling through my mind, I need to think about alot of things...and thus stopped me arting. 

Today in the cold, I played in my journal

I worked on the girl a week ago, and didnt like her, today I finally finished her, enough to get rid of her into my book, so created a tip in for her, she is just another stepping stone to other things I guess.

playing with washii tape and inks, taping down photographs and just making marks. 

I also had the pleasure of going to my parents place last weekend, and finally got my birthday present from my mumma, project life!!! I skuttled off to get some prints printed, and start making memories withing the confines of this amazing layout style from becky higgins, never worry though...there are lots of left over photos that didnt make the cut, and they will be smashed into my art journal covered with paint and life

because my journal..is where art and life collide.

Creative Space! a little of this alittle of that

Thursday again, blink and it shall be next week! my little nook is a hype of activity! with yarn club in full swing, it seems that all my hands are doing is dyeing! (they are stained red with green fingernails, nniiicee combo hey lol)  so my space is cluttered with dye pots, half full, half empty not even opened yet, and a whole lot of undyed yarn waiting to be thrown into the cauldron of colour!

On the knitting front, Im doing some mindless stuff, but still cute, making little facewashers to sell at the markets, from soft, lovely cotton. The make great little gifts for friends and baby shower presents! Im making several for that very reason!

On the writing front, I have a new penpal, and she is just delightful. What more could a knitter want than a knitting penpal! with sheepy paper and all! Im working on her letter as we speak, with collages and cuteness, I think the art of letter writing needs some love! 

and just for her...my wheel...told you I was a spinner hehe

Creative Space!

After realizing that Id put my name on the list, I hadnt taken my pictures!! so I got my clothes on and ran into the craft room to take a photo of my latest workings.

As some may know, Im currently in the middle of my Yarn Club, the first shipment of wool arrived today, and Im busy setting up for a mass dyeing session as I have 5kg to dye in the next week!!

this is also a teaser for my customers, as they have been stalking my blog waiting for me to let something slip...so this is all thats slipping my loves...

there are thee pots of dye there, each colour is just one of the colours for each colourway...Im not saying which is which, but there you have it...three little slips all in one.

I've also had some fun in the dyepots with some wool! these will go up for sale once I get the rest of the stock ready but Im in love, I dye because I love it, but then I love my wool and dont want to let it go, lol I have problems!!
