Thats right, started it late this afternoon, finished it just after dinner, the beauty of crochet hehe, totally love it! didnt think it was going to work, but I like how it turned out in the end.

Its Vintage Hue yarn, which I got on spesh at spotlight a week ago, its really lovely wool! and I used a 5.5 mm hook, bigger than I prefer, but I started this same pattern using a smaller hook and it made it way to small for my head!
I made the pattern longer the second time around, and instead of the scolloped edge which I didnt like to much when I tried it on, I decreased dc's all around with chains in between to give it a brought in look and a straight edge. Finished it with a flower, was going to make it bigger but I like the size it turned out. Really impressed with it actually!
my little man decided he wanted to crochet aswell, he knows wht to do, well not exactly but he gets that the hook and the wool go together!
hes such a munchkin, i love him, hes sick at the moment and he kept coming up to me and getting me to pick him up so I could cuddle him, made my heart melt. Who couldnt love that!
